Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve results, champion service, and execute daily business while upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; deliver reviews, recognize achievements, and build an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety/health, conduct Core/Services Walks, review cameras for compliance, and prioritize safe environments.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, manage inventory, communicate objectives, and partner on events/adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and development, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Flexible scheduling is essential.
