Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving targeted results and exceptional service in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead people functions: recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, reviews, and development.
- Ensure outstanding associate and pet parent experiences, handling concerns and building positive environments.
- Maintain safety standards, conduct walks and camera reviews, and manage pet health issues.
- Oversee business operations: inventory, profitability, compliance, and strategic execution.
- Foster engagement through recognition, feedback tools, and team empowerment.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include team building, operational efficiency, conflict resolution, and data-driven decision-making. Experience in pet retail is a plus.
