Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion superior service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open communication and high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; handle escalations; lead events and compliance checks; manage inventory and store standards.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; optimize processes for sales and efficiency.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership, customer focus, and operational expertise. Pet care passion, financial acumen, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment are key. You'll excel in team building, problem-solving, and driving results.

- Manage inventory, scheduling, and business objectives to meet targets
- Conduct store walks, monitor cameras, and address safety or pet health issues promptly
