Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion service excellence, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, reviews, training, and succession planning. Foster an open-door culture, address grievances, and celebrate team achievements.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers. Lead pet parent interactions, conduct safety walks, manage inventory, review cameras, and partner on community events.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability by analyzing metrics, executing strategies, maintaining standards, and communicating objectives to the team.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 5+ years in retail management, P&L experience, strong interpersonal skills, and passion for pets. Key skills include team empowerment, operational efficiency, customer focus, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Flexible availability required.
