Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while delivering exceptional service and efficient execution to achieve targeted business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; lead pet parent interactions; conduct safety walks; maintain inventory and compliance.
- Business Management: Analyze performance, execute corporate strategies, drive profitability, and optimize processes for continuous improvement.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Flexibility for varied shifts and proven ability to motivate teams essential.

- Maintain inventory levels and conduct safety walks

- Partner on community events and adoption initiatives
- Monitor store cameras and enforce policies
- Handle pet health issues and ensure compliance
