Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving targeted results through exceptional service and efficient execution in a fast-paced pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, and develop associates; conduct reviews, recognize achievements, and build an open-door culture using feedback tools.
• Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; lead pet parent interactions, events, and compliance with policies via monthly walks and camera reviews.
• Business Management: Analyze performance, execute corporate strategies for profitability, manage inventory, and communicate objectives to drive sales and efficiency.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and HR, expertise in customer service, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and adaptability in a dynamic store setting. Pet industry knowledge is a plus.
