Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial outcomes, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, terminations; build open-door culture; manage scheduling, reviews, training, and succession planning; delegate and empower teams.
• Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and associates; lead pet parent interactions; improve processes; partner on events; maintain policy compliance via monthly walks.
• Operations & Safety: Manage inventory, communicate objectives, review cameras for risks, address pet health issues immediately, oversee opening/closing procedures.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and development, customer service expertise, operational acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include conflict resolution, financial oversight, compliance enforcement, and fostering engagement in a fast-paced environment.
