Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion superior service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; manage schedules, performance reviews, and engagement initiatives; foster an open-door culture and address grievances.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent and associate interactions; ensure pet safety and health; conduct monthly walks, maintain standards, and collaborate on events with adoption groups.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability; analyze metrics and root causes; oversee inventory, camera reviews, and emergency pet care; communicate objectives to the team.
