Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted results, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture and address grievances.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct safety walks, manage inventory, review cameras for compliance, and partner on events with adoption groups.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies, analyze financials, optimize processes, communicate objectives, and deliver profitability goals.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership skills, customer service expertise, and financial acumen. Passion for pets, ability to thrive in dynamic environments, and proficiency in team motivation are essential. Flexible availability required.
