Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve targets, champion service excellence, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build engagement through open-door culture and recognition.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; lead pet parent interactions; conduct safety walks; manage inventory and compliance; partner on events and adoptions.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals; analyze metrics and root causes; communicate objectives; review cameras for safety; handle pet health issues promptly.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, proven leadership in team building and sales growth, strong customer service focus, and pet industry knowledge.
