Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; facilitate reviews, recognition, and succession planning; address grievances and build open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain store standards, conduct monthly walks, manage inventory, and review cameras for safety/compliance.
- Operations & Financials: Collaborate on events, communicate objectives, prioritize safety, and respond to sick/injured pets with immediate action.
Experience & Skills
Seeking proven leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, customer service expertise, and pet industry knowledge. Must excel in delegation, financial oversight, compliance, and fostering engagement in a fast-paced environment.
