Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; conduct reviews, recognize achievements, and resolve grievances to build an engaged team.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; lead pet parent interactions, events, and community partnerships.
- Operations & Financials: Manage inventory, conduct safety walks, review cameras for compliance, communicate objectives, and drive continuous improvements.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Proficiency in HR functions, operations, and fostering positive cultures is essential. Experience in pet retail is a plus.
