Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving exceptional service, efficient execution, and targeted business results in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, and develop associates; foster open communication, deliver reviews, and boost engagement through recognition.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage escalations, conduct safety walks, monitor cameras, and maintain inventory standards.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance, optimize processes, and lead events with community partners like adoption groups.
