Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve results, champion service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; facilitate reviews, recognition, and succession planning; address grievances and boost engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; oversee inventory and camera reviews.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, optimize processes, and partner on events like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Seeking proven retail leaders with strong team management, customer service, and operational expertise. Key skills include financial acumen, pet safety knowledge, compliance enforcement, and adaptability. Experience in recruiting, scheduling, and driving results in a fast-paced retail setting is essential. Passion for pets and ability to inspire teams required.
