Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve key results, champion service excellence, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, develop associates; conduct reviews, foster open-door culture, and ensure engagement through recognition and feedback.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain standards via monthly walks, monitor cameras, manage inventory, and prioritize safe environments.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, execute strategies, partner on events, and adapt to changing priorities.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, operations, and financial oversight. Passion for pets, strong decision-making, and ability to empower teams essential. Flexible availability required.
