Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive results, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with recognition and feedback.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct monthly walks, manage inventory, review cameras for compliance, and partner on community events.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability, analyze performance data, communicate objectives, and adapt to changing priorities.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, expertise in team development and customer service, financial acumen, and a genuine love for pets. Proficiency in operations, safety protocols, and driving engagement is essential. Flexible availability required.
