Role Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer – Web Full Stack, you'll develop, implement, and maintain elements of petsmart.com using cutting-edge technologies. Based in Phoenix, AZ (no visa sponsorship), collaborate in Scrum teams with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, Architects, and Engineers. Operate as Product and Platform teams to solve business challenges with high-quality, performant solutions. Minimum 4 days in-office weekly, up to 1 flex remote day with approval.
Key Responsibilities
- Build highly performant web applications using TDD and 12-factor app practices, working independently.
- Analyze requirements, provide accurate estimates, and guide implementations.
- Participate in all Scrum ceremonies: planning, retrospectives, reviews.
- Conduct peer code reviews and support team members.
- Prototype new technologies to enhance our tech stack.
Experience & Skills
Require 6+ years full-stack experience in enterprise web development, especially eCommerce. Expert in JavaScript/TypeScript, NextJS, Node, Terraform, Event Driven Architecture, Kubernetes, RESTful APIs. Familiar with CI/CD, Github, Jenkins, SonarQube, Jira, Core Web Vitals, distributed systems, and API integrations. BS/BA in Computer Science preferred. Preferred: Commerce Tools, GCP, GraphQL. Self-motivated, collaborative problem-solver with strong communication.
