Role Overview

As Sr Manager, Business Operations - Charities, you'll drive operational excellence for our grant programs and adoption initiatives. Lead teams, optimize processes, manage risks, and ensure compliance in a fast-paced nonprofit setting passionate about pets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor Grant Administration and Adoption Compliance teams for peak productivity.
  • Oversee grant lifecycle: eligibility, contracts, payments, and partner compliance.
  • Implement lean processes and resolve technical issues in adoption systems.
  • Own audits, risk management, PCI compliance, and quarterly access reviews.
  • Manage vendor contracts and partner cross-functionally for streamlined operations.

Experience & Skills

Seeking 7+ years in operations/nonprofit management, 5+ years team leadership, expertise in grants/audits/compliance. Strong project management, stakeholder collaboration, and process documentation skills required. Bachelor's degree preferred; pet welfare passion a plus.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years in operations, grant management, or nonprofit administration (experience)

  • Experience with PCI audits, data privacy, and risk management (experience)
  • Strong knowledge of U.S./Canadian nonprofit regulations (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee grant processes including eligibility, contracts, payments, and monitoring
  • Optimize workflows and troubleshoot adoption system issues
  • Manage audits, risk strategies, PCI compliance, and system access reviews
  • Handle vendor contracts, procurement, and cross-functional projects with Programs, Marketing, and Finance
