Role Overview
The Sr Manager Packaging and PDP Digital Design owns the aesthetic expression for PetSmart’s proprietary brands across packaging and digital PDP. Based in our Phoenix Home Office, you'll deliver fresh concepts, manage large-scale projects, art direct photoshoots, and lead a team in a fast-paced retail setting. Key Responsibilities
- Produce innovative package design systems and PDP graphics for line extensions and redesigns.
- Partner with Copy on compelling hierarchies for seamless online/in-store navigation.
- Art direct designers, photographers, and production teams while reviewing dielines and proofs.
- Lead presentations, manage budgets/timelines, and communicate cross-functionally.
- Ensure compliance with US/Canadian regulations and brand consistency.
Experience & Skills
Require Bachelor’s in Graphic Design or related, 6+ years in package/digital design, and 5+ years managing teams. Expertise in trade dress, design systems, ambiguity navigation, and optimistic leadership essential. Hands-on in high-volume projects with strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Develop innovative brand identity, package design systems, and PDP concepts for proprietary brands
- Deliver engaging presentations articulating design strategies to stakeholders
- Partner with Copy team on packaging communication hierarchy for in-store and online navigation
- Provide art direction to Graphic Designers, Photographers, and cross-functional partners
- Review dielines, physical proofs, and ensure compliance with regulations and brand standards
- Manage budgets, timelines, and high-volume projects with hands-on involvement
- Communicate direction cross-functionally with Merchandising, Suppliers, and Marketing
- Contribute to proprietary brand strategy, digital presence, and promotions as needed
