Role Overview
As a Sr Software Engineer (DevOps), you'll be the Apigee and API platform expert on our Technology team, enabling secure, scalable, and reliable API delivery. Partner with engineering teams to guide API design, support development, and ensure platform alignment across the software lifecycle. This Phoenix-based role requires no visa sponsorship and emphasizes hands-on expertise in Apigee, DevOps, and cloud operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Apigee SME, providing guidance, standards, and best practices.
- Manage Apigee platform: configuration, policies, routing, security, traffic, monitoring.
- Ensure platform stability, scalability, performance, security.
- Lead troubleshooting, incident response, root cause analysis.
- Provide support across dev, test, prod environments.
- Integrate with GCP, CI/CD, automation frameworks.
- Automate provisioning, deployments with engineering/infra teams.
- Support API observability, monitoring, logging.
- Promote API management, DevOps, security, cloud best practices.
Experience & Skills
Required: 4+ years software engineering/API/DevOps; strong Apigee hands-on (proxies, policies, security); JavaScript/Python/C# knowledge; enterprise API scale; CI/CD experience; excellent communication.
Preferred: API development; Kubernetes/GKE; GitHub Actions; observability tools; API gateways/service mesh.
