In New Orleans, our Nuclear #52 facility plays a vital role in delivering safe, efficacious radioactive drugs for diagnosis and therapy.
As a PRN Pharmacist at Cardinal Health's New Orleans Nuclear Pharmacy, you'll ensure the safe preparation and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals. This flexible, as-needed role involves one day per week, weekend/holiday rotations, and PTO coverage. Shifts vary between 2:00 AM-9:00 AM and 9:00 AM-3:00 PM, offering work-life balance while supporting critical healthcare needs. Ideal for licensed pharmacists with nuclear training seeking impactful, part-time opportunities in a regulated environment.
Your daily contributions will drive operational excellence:
A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD is required, plus a valid Louisiana Pharmacist license (or in process). Complete at least 200 hours of nuclear pharmacy training from an accredited program.
Demonstrate strong customer service, intermediate computer skills, manual dexterity for dispensing, and clear communication. Knowledge of biohazardous waste management is essential. Physically, lift up to 75 pounds, hold a valid Louisiana driver's license, and drive in all weather conditions for deliveries day or night.
Prior nuclear pharmacy exposure preferred; flexibility for varying shifts is key.
