Role Overview

As a Pharmacy Technician in our Birmingham, AL Nuclear Pharmacy #67 location, you will play a vital role in preparing and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. This full-time position offers 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with possible weekend coverage (Saturday/Sunday 2:00 AM to 6:00 AM) and holiday shifts. Flexibility is key due to business needs. Key Responsibilities

Under the immediate direction of a qualified Staff Pharmacist, you will be trained to draw, dispense, and package radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations. Your daily duties include:

  • Assisting in facility preparation through cleaning, equipment checks, and quality control testing.
  • Following standard operating procedures to ensure smooth pharmacy operations.
  • Collecting and processing customer orders for efficient, timely medication delivery.
  • Handling administrative tasks, answering customer inquiries, and providing support for optimal satisfaction.
  • Maintaining safety standards by completing and recording daily infection control procedures.
  • Taking guidance from senior techs to build expertise in nuclear pharmacy operations.

Schedule Details

Full-time role requiring availability for holidays, weekends, and early opening shifts. Must be adaptable to varying days and hours based on operational demands.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience (preferred).
  • National pharmacy technician registration/license (preferred).
  • Past clean room experience (a plus).
