Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will support the pharmacy team in various critical functions:

• Maintain professional working relationships with pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical staff at all times.
• Adapt to varying demands of pharmacy work, remaining flexible as departmental needs evolve.
• Be readily available to customers and patients, upholding a friendly and helpful attitude.
• Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy environment by strictly complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Organize medications for pharmacist verification by profiling prescriptions, preparing labels, and calculating quantities.
• Ensure medication availability through timely delivery to patients and proactive ordering.
• Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results and supporting 340B best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support overall pharmacy operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this Pharmacy Technician role at Cardinal Health, candidates should possess:

• An active Florida pharmacy technician license (required).
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent (preferred).
• National pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) (preferred).
• 2+ years of retail pharmacy technician experience (preferred).
• Understanding and experience with 340B programs (preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service abilities.
• Demonstrated proficiency with technology, including computers, smartphones, and tablets.

This position applies acquired knowledge to standard tasks, works under moderate supervision, and follows clearly defined standard operating procedures. Routine assignments may require problem resolution, with complex issues escalated to supervisors.

The anticipated hourly range is $16.40 - $23.50 per hour, with pay determined by factors including location, experience, and internal equity. This role is not bonus eligible.
