In this role, you have the opportunity to
create, evangelize and execute the Philips innovation strategy and roadmap in China. You are responsible for
· Establish innovation program for China, including development of the program charter, formation of the core program team, identification of key projects/workstreams, and creation of program plan.
· Drive program execution by collaborating closely with business (e.g., R&D, product management), market (e.g., marketing, sales), and other key functions such as Security, Privacy, Quality, Regulatory, and external partners.
· Prepare and chair reporting meetings (e.g., Program Status Reports) with sponsors and leadership teams.
· Work with business, market teams, and external partners to identify innovation opportunities in the context of Philips’ strategy, market dynamics, and technology trends across segments.
· Support upstream and downstream marketing teams to evaluate the business impact and strategic fit of innovation opportunities.
· Collaborate with other China innovation teams to prioritize and select opportunities based on impact and strategic alignment.
· Support product marketing activities and roadshows; develop marketing materials including catalogs, websites, and other digital publications to engage internal and external stakeholders.
You are a part of
Project Management Office (PMO) team in the Philips China innovation center in Shanghai. The team is responsible for end-to-end program and project management for innovative business and market solutions. You will report to the Head of PMO and collaborate with many other functions including internal business (e.g. R&D, product management), market (e.g. marketing, sales), and function teams (e.g. finance, legal, IP, etc.) and external partners (e.g. hospitals, 3rd. party vendors).
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related discipline.
· Proven program/project management experience (10+ years) in multi‑national software product and/or innovation development lifecycles.
· Significant experience in the healthcare industry (5+ years).
· Strong commercial and financial acumen with deep business understanding.
· Expert knowledge of digitalization, software, cloud technologies, and the China digital ecosystem.
· Strategic thinker who can shape direction, act as a change agent, and manage uncertainty.
· Strong networking and persuasion skills; able to communicate mission and vision to diverse audiences (portfolio management, architecture, engineering, sales & marketing, leadership) and secure buy‑in.
· Delivery‑oriented with a quality mindset.
· Fluent in English (written and verbal).
· Experience in product management is preferred.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
