UI/UX Stack Developer in Finance Domain

We are looking for an intern passionate about user experience and interface development to join the Harmonized Business Case (HBC) Management Team. In this role, you will design and enhance intuitive user interfaces that support financial modeling for long-term strategic partnerships in the healthcare industry. You will work at the intersection of technology and business, contributing to solutions that improve efficiency and user satisfaction. As part of a dynamic team of experts, you will gain hands-on experience in Philips Healthcare LSP modeling, deal approval processes, and user acceptance testing, while helping shape tools that drive recurring revenue and operational excellence.

Your role:

• Onboard new business in the React-based User Interface for financial modeling

• Support the business architect in fine-tuning business logic

• Gain hands-on experience in Philips Healthcare LSP modeling and deal approval process

• Actively participate in user acceptance testing for financial models

• Design, develop, and connect a new section in the intuitive user interface

• Formulate questions that guide end users through the UI easily

• Introduce gamification and AI features where possible to enhance user experience

• Support unit testing with updates to Playwright and maintain technical documentation

• Prepare deployment, update test scripts, and assist end users

• Document processes and create work instructions for end users

You're the right fit if:

• You are finalizing your BSc or MSc degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field

• You have experience designing/developing UI using React and basic programming knowledge (SQL, Java, JavaScript)

• You can analyze and translate business logic from Excel-based tools into structured process diagrams (e.g., BPMN)

• Familiarity with wireframing and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma) is a plus

• You value customer satisfaction and user experience as much as coding

• You can take ownership of projects, structure your work, and seek assistance when needed

• You are fluent in English and a collaborative team player

• Interest in Finance and Accounting is beneficial

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.

Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours. Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net. Paid holidays per internship term.
