Job Description

Operational Buyer:

The operational Buyer responsible for assisting in conducting basic inventory analysis, aiding in ordering materials, resolving basic availability issues, helping in compiling stock levels, tracking supplier/item profiles, and recording consignment stock to ensure efficient supply chain operations and effective decision-making.


Your role:

  • Works on basic material shortage risks, follows action to mitigate disruptions, performs return orders to suppliers, ensures smooth supply chain operations and maintains strong supplier relationships.

  • Assists in addressing and resolving the fundamental reasons behind routine availability issues, ensuring smooth and continuous supply chain operations by identifying and eliminating root causes efficiently.

  • Assists in calculating and planning basic technical aspects of purchasing goods, understanding their requirements, managing inventory including safety stock, and efficiently expediting and mitigating shortages with suppliers to uphold service levels.

  • Supports in monitoring material resource planning tools to track material characteristics and trends, aiming to optimize stock levels, manages master data settings and stock levels during the Industrialization phase to ensure availability of correct materials for production ramp-up.

 You're the right fit if:

  • You posses a High School Diploma, Vocational Education or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or equivalent.

  • You have 2+ years of experience in areas such as Material Planning, Buyer, Supply Chain Management or equivalent OR no prior experience with Bachelor's Degree, preferably with understanding of supply chain or equivalent areas.

  • You are knowledgeable in SAP, SFDC or an equivalent ERP systems and MS Office Suite.

  • You are a customer-focused professional with critical thinking, strong communication skills, and innovative problem-solving skills. You excel at meeting tight deadlines, resolving escalated issues, and are forward-thinking with strong organizational abilities.

  • May be required to work overtime and/or during Panamanian holidays, based on business &/or departmental needs.

  • Capable of communicating effectively using the English language.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This is an office role.
