Position Summary

Sonoco seeks a dynamic Plant Manager (all genders) for our facility in 52399 Merzenich near Düren, Germany. Lead operations, drive efficiency, ensure safety, and align production with business goals in a high-impact role at a world-class packaging manufacturer.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop production plans meeting targets, forecasts, quality, and budgets.
• Champion safety compliance and optimization.
• Analyze costs, reduce deviations, and implement savings.
• Lead continuous improvement for cost, quality, and efficiency.
• Manage budgets, production targets, inventory, and waste reduction.
• Promote training, employee development, and high morale.
• Collaborate with sales, quality, and HR teams.

Required Qualifications

• Engineering degree or technical equivalent.
• 3-5 years in similar role; paper processing experience preferred.
• Fluent English and business German.
• Strong PC proficiency, leadership, and project management.
• Kaizen/Lean knowledge advantageous.
• Analytical, organized, customer-focused, resilient.
