Position Summary
Join Sonoco as Plant Manager in Putnam, CT, reporting to the Director of Operations. Lead ThermoSafe's core competencies including Business Knowledge, Communications, Customer Focus, Leadership/Teamwork/Collaboration, People Selection & Development, Innovation, and Execution/Accountability. Drive operational excellence, employee satisfaction, and sustainable growth at our state-of-the-art facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the plant's annual operating budget to ensure financial targets are met.
- Prepare and submit capital authorization applications for essential capital expenditures.
- Promote and support a maintenance excellence process to maximize equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong employee relationships, fostering a culture of high satisfaction and engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree, preferably in sciences or engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of practical, relevant experience in manufacturing or packaging operations (preferred).
- Proven experience in problem solving, quick execution, and team leadership.
