Position Summary

Join Sonoco as Plant Manager in Putnam, CT, reporting to the Director of Operations. Lead ThermoSafe's core competencies including Business Knowledge, Communications, Customer Focus, Leadership/Teamwork/Collaboration, People Selection & Development, Innovation, and Execution/Accountability. Drive operational excellence, employee satisfaction, and sustainable growth at our state-of-the-art facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the plant's annual operating budget to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Prepare and submit capital authorization applications for essential capital expenditures.
  • Promote and support a maintenance excellence process to maximize equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong employee relationships, fostering a culture of high satisfaction and engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • Four-year degree, preferably in sciences or engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of practical, relevant experience in manufacturing or packaging operations (preferred).
  • Proven experience in problem solving, quick execution, and team leadership.
