The PMV Athlete I position at Nike's Toronto facility is a full-time evening shift role (Monday-Friday, 3:00PM-11:30PM), reporting to the Storage and Retrieval Coach. This entry-level warehouse role requires driver certification and focuses on powered material vehicle (PMV) operations. You'll handle the safe and efficient movement of inventory using specialized equipment, contributing to Nike's commitment to speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Ideal for detail-oriented team players who thrive in dynamic settings and are ready for physical work including lifting 10-50lbs and standing for extended periods.
In this role, you'll operate essential warehouse equipment such as Reach trucks, Order Pickers, Dock Stockers, Single/Double Walkies, and Pump Trucks. Key duties include following Radio Frequency (RF) equipment directives to store or retrieve materials from designated zones, maintaining average Cartons Per Hour (CPH) targets, and delivering consistent high-quality customer service. You'll inspect lift trucks daily for durability, report issues promptly, collaborate with the Reconciliation Team for accurate carton delivery, and strictly adhere to Nike's safety policies. Additional tasks involve keeping work areas tidy, using retractable knives as needed, reporting unsafe conditions, and offering process improvement recommendations to boost productivity, safety, and service levels. Flexibility is key, as you'll support other areas, weekends, and overtime when required.
Expect repetitive tasks for extended periods, multitasking under deadlines, and interacting effectively with diverse teams to achieve common goals. Your analytical and problem-solving skills will help drive reconciliation and operational excellence across the facility.
To succeed as a PMV Athlete I, you need driver certification and the physical ability to lift 10-50lbs, stand for long durations, and handle repetitive motions. Core competencies include flexibility, attention to detail, analytical/problem-solving skills, teamwork, independent work ethic, time management, strong verbal/written communication, multitasking, prioritization, and deadline adherence. Experience in warehouse operations, RF systems, or material handling is a plus.
