Role Overview

Cardinal Health is seeking a skilled PRN Hospital Pharmacist to join our team at the newly built PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Orange City in Orange City, Florida. This flexible, as-needed position covers PTO, vacations, on-call duties, and sick time during business hours Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no weekends or company holidays required. Pharmacists will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, including medication oversight, dispensing, and clinical consultations. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will play a critical part in patient safety and care delivery. Responsibilities include interpreting verbal and written medical orders, maintaining accurate patient medication profiles, and compounding/dispensing pharmaceuticals such as sterile, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition products. You will monitor drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, allergies, and dosing appropriateness, while assisting with pharmacokinetics consults and reviewing culture data for antibiotic therapy. Additional duties involve issuing controlled substances, sustaining the formulary, providing clinical consultations, documenting interventions, and participating in quality improvement activities and staff training programs.
