Role Overview

  • Entering medical supply orders and patient data into the pharmacy information management system.
  • Processing returned medications for credit or destruction.
  • Communicating professionally with patients, clinics, caregivers, and physicians for accurate order fulfillment.

All activities must comply with pharmacy laws, with every order reviewed by a registered pharmacist.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed, candidates need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • State Pharmacy Technician license/registration (required).
  • ACPE IV certification (required); national certification if applicable.
  • In-patient hospital pharmacy experience highly preferred.
  • Strong verbal/written communication and customer service skills.
  • Flexibility in schedule, ability to multitask, focus on tasks, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Comfort with repetitive motions and technology (computers, smartphones, tablets).
