Role Overview

The PRN Retail Pharmacy Technician position at Cardinal Health's Spectrum Health Services locations in Philadelphia, PA, offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of a community health center's first entity-owned pharmacy. This as-needed role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care in a Patient Centered Medical Home environment. You'll work flexible hours covering PTO and peak needs at two convenient sites: 3525 Cottman Ave and 5201 Haverford Ave. Pharmacy hours are Monday-Thursday 9AM-6PM and Friday 9AM-5PM. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you'll support pharmacists and the care team with essential daily tasks. Responsibilities include retrieving and preparing medications for verification, organizing orders, profiling prescriptions, and preparing labels. You'll maintain inventory levels, ensure medication availability, and communicate effectively with patients, prescribers, and staff to resolve issues. A key focus is working with the team on 340B compliance best practices. You'll uphold professional relationships, adapt to changing demands, prioritize customer availability with a friendly attitude, and maintain a safe, clean pharmacy compliant with all regulations. Qualifications & Requirements

We seek candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred qualifications include at least 1 year of retail pharmacy technician experience, PTCB certification, and familiarity with the 340B program—though we'll provide training. You must be currently registered as a pharmacy technician in Pennsylvania or obtain registration within 90 days of hire. Vendor credentialing may be required. At this level, you'll apply knowledge to standard tasks, learn new methods quickly, maintain licenses, work under moderate supervision within SOPs, and escalate complex issues.
