Position Overview:

The Sourcing Executive is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and onboarding suppliers, negotiating commercials, and supporting end-to-end procurement activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality supply of goods and services for the organization. The role works closely with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, run RFQ/RFP processes, and maintain strong supplier relationships to drive continuous improvement and savings.

You’ll make a difference by:

• Understand sourcing requirements from purchase requisitions, specifications, and volumes; consolidate demand wherever possible.
• Identify, evaluate, and shortlist potential suppliers through market research, references, and vendor databases, focusing on quality, cost, capacity, and reliability.
• Prepare and float RFQs/RFPs, obtain competitive quotations, and perform comparative statements (techno-commercial bid analysis) to support supplier selection.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (user departments, quality, finance, logistics, warehouse) for specification clarity, sample approvals, and smooth order execution.
• Follow up on purchase orders with GBS Team for PO release, track order status, and resolve delays or supply disruptions.
• Monitor supplier performance on parameters like on-time delivery, quality issues, responsiveness, and adherence to contract terms; support performance reviews.
• Maintain updated records of suppliers, contracts, price lists, and key documents in SAP; ensure data accuracy for audits and reporting.
• Support implementation of sourcing strategies, cost reduction initiatives, and standardization efforts under senior guidance.
• Track market trends, price movements, and changes in supply conditions for key categories; share input with procurement team.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and statutory/regulatory requirements in all sourcing activities

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical/Electrical.
• 2years –3 years of hands-on experience in sourcing/procurement, purchasing, or supply chain, preferably in project-based industry.
• Practical exposure to vendor development, RFQ management, basic negotiations, and purchase order processing.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong negotiation and basic contract understanding (prices, payment terms, INCOTERMS, delivery schedules, penalties).
• Good analytical skills for quote comparison, total cost of ownership evaluation, and data-driven decisions.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple sourcing requirements and prioritize based on business needs.
• Basic understanding of inventory concepts, lead time, safety stock, and supply risk
