Role Overview

As Procurement Ingredients Associate Manager at PepsiCo in Miguel Hidalgo, Mexico City, you will spearhead the digital transformation of our procurement function. Managing approximately USD 100 million in annual expenditure, you will optimize end-to-end processes, automate workflows, and lead strategic sourcing for ingredients. This senior leadership role focuses on efficiency, data-driven decisions, supplier value creation, cost optimization, and alignment with PepsiCo's global digitalization goals. Collaborate with IT, Finance, and suppliers to drive innovation, compliance, and scalability in procurement operations.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Transformation and Automation

Design and execute process mapping using BPMN and SIPOC to identify bottlenecks. Implement automations with tools like Power Automate, UiPath, or SAP IRPA for approvals, purchase orders, and contracts. Develop a digital roadmap incorporating e-sourcing, e-invoicing, and e-contracting platforms while monitoring KPIs for efficiency.

Supplier and Category Management

Oversee more than 20 PMF suppliers and RFPs through robust Supplier Relationship Management. Harmonize bidding processes, validate new supply sources, and develop exclusive suppliers. Drive sustainability projects under the PiP+ agenda for the region.

Data and Financial Oversight

Create dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau for strategic insights. Present monthly financial reports, ensure forecast accuracy with the planning team, and apply financial analysis for cost modeling.

Project Leadership

Lead cross-functional digital projects, coordinating with global teams, IT, and Finance. Leverage AI tools and negotiation skills to optimize categories and manage budgets effectively.

Qualifications & Requirements

We seek dynamic professionals with a degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related fields. Key requirements include 2+ years in direct purchasing/supply chain, 3+ years in direct materials procurement with process improvement or digital transformation experience. Fluency in English is essential for global negotiations. Strong skills in logistics, supply chain operations, negotiation, budget management, financial analysis, and sustainable sourcing (agriculture preferred) are critical. Experience with AI, Lean Six Sigma, BPM, RPA Developer, or Power Platform certifications is highly valued.
