Key Responsibilities at Datadog

• Design platform-level security features that support workflows across multiple Datadog security products
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and security experts to align on shared requirements
• Drive systemic design consistency by defining reusable components, patterns, and security UI guidelines
• Own the complete end-to-end design process from exploration and wireframing to pixel-perfect implementation
• Partner closely with stakeholders to shape product direction, manage trade-offs, and build organizational alignment
• Champion UI quality, accessibility standards, and scalable design patterns across the security platform
• Contribute to Datadog's evolving design system, focusing on security-specific components and patterns
• Conduct usability testing and iterate based on real customer feedback and usage analytics

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal Product Designer II brings enterprise design experience to Datadog's fast-paced security platform:

• 3+ years product design experience, preferably on complex B2B or enterprise SaaS products
• Expert UI design skills with pixel-perfect attention to detail, visual hierarchy, and cross-surface consistency
• Systemic thinking mindset - ability to identify patterns and create solutions scaling across multiple teams/products
• Proven stakeholder management - communicate clearly, influence without authority, navigate competing priorities
• Platform/shared capabilities experience working across multiple product teams in technical environments
• Comfort owning ambiguous problem spaces and bringing clarity through structured design processes
• Proficiency with Figma, prototyping tools, and modern design system workflows
