Role Overview

Join MongoDB's Security Product Management team as a Product Management Intern in Toronto, Ontario! This is your chance to work on cutting-edge enterprise security products including IAM, encryption, and resource-based policies using the world's leading modern developer data platform. As a MongoDB Product Management Intern, you'll be fully integrated into our R&D organization, collaborating with product managers, software engineers, UX designers, marketing, and analytics teams.

MongoDB is redefining databases for the AI era with our unified platform that powers 75% of Fortune 100 companies. This 10-week full-time internship (40 hours/week) runs June-August 2026 in our hybrid Toronto office (3-5 days/week). Key Responsibilities at MongoDB

  • Analyze user needs: Dive deep into customer pain points and advocate for their needs across MongoDB's security product portfolio
  • Conduct market research: Perform competitive analysis and customer feedback sessions to identify new opportunities
  • Synthesize data sources: Combine insights from support cases, analytics, and user research to inform product decisions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with engineers and designers to discuss technical solutions and tradeoffs
  • Create product requirements: Author specifications for new security features including IAM and encryption capabilities
  • Triage technical issues: Analyze bugs, support cases, and explore MongoDB security technologies
  • Communicate strategy: Present product roadmaps and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Build vs buy analysis: Make strategic recommendations for MongoDB's security product roadmap
  • Contribute to MongoDB Atlas: Help enhance the world's most widely available globally distributed database platform

Qualifications & Requirements

We're seeking motivated students who thrive in fast-paced environments. Key qualifications include:

  • Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Sciences, or related field
  • Technical aptitude: Comfortable analyzing code logic, security products, and technical documentation
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience with market research, competitive analysis, or customer interviews
  • Must have 1+ quarter/semester remaining after internship (graduation Fall 2026/Spring 2027)
  • Authorized to work in Canada
  • Passionate about databases, NoSQL, and enterprise security solutions
