You'll become a developer experience expert, helping our global community build applications from greenfield prototypes to enterprise-grade systems using tools like MongoDB Compass, mongosh, IDE integrations, and the new MCP server.

In this hybrid role based in Dublin, you'll work on the ground with developers, ensuring seamless integration with MongoDB's NoSQL database platform. As AI transforms how developers build, you'll evolve our 1st party tools to meet them where they are. Be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment, collaborating across distributed teams in Berlin, NYC, Europe, and the US.

Key Responsibilities at MongoDB

• Develop a deep understanding of the developer experience problem space and own your product area's goals, strategy, and roadmap aligned with MongoDB's priorities.
• Interact directly with customers and stakeholders to gather insights and drive product evolution.
• Work closely with Engineering teams to define and prioritize projects, including customer requests and tech debt.
• Actively track market trends, competition, and emerging technologies like AI to inform product direction.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly to engineers, executives, and non-technical audiences.
• Take end-to-end ownership: contribute to documentation, blog posts, demos, and marketing materials.
• Analyze usage data to validate success metrics and uncover new opportunities for MongoDB developer tools.
• Drive solutions enabling rapid development with MongoDB while guiding optimal design decisions.
• Enhance tools like MongoDB Compass, mongosh shell, IDE extensions, and MCP server for AI-powered workflows.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed as a Product Manager at MongoDB, bring 3+ years of product management experience with complex technical products. You need excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration and strong customer empathy to translate pain points into actionable solutions. Technical aptitude is key—understand how software is built, deployed, and operated.

• Hands-on with developer tools in scripts, CI/CD pipelines, and frameworks.
• Experience across the full product lifecycle: ideation, research, design, execution, testing.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Passion for database markets, NoSQL, and staying current with dev trends.

Nice-to-haves: Data analysis skills and prior software engineering experience.
