Position Summary

Join Sonoco as a Production and Maintenance Technician II in DeForest, WI. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you'll handle critical manual and mechanical production functions on our Weld Line. This full-time role features a 4-on-4-off schedule with 12-hour night shifts (6pm-6am) at an hourly rate of $34.53. Ideal for skilled technicians ready to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain high-performance equipment in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, adjust, troubleshoot, and repair assigned production equipment to ensure seamless operations.
• Conduct and assist with preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Replenish supplies, materials, parts, and tooling for efficient production flow.
• Provide on-the-job training to team members, fostering skill development.
• Perform Seamer Operator duties during non-maintenance periods.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace while standing, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience or formal training.
• Strong basic English communication skills (reading, writing, comprehension).
• Ability to interpret and execute complex verbal and written instructions.
• Flexibility for 12-hour shifts, overtime, and physical demands including standing, bending, and lifting.
