Position Summary

Join Sonoco as a Production and Maintenance Technician II in DeForest, WI. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you'll handle critical manual and mechanical production functions on our Weld Line. This full-time role features a 4-on-4-off schedule with 12-hour night shifts (6pm-6am) and offers a competitive hourly rate of $34.53. Ideal for skilled technicians passionate about manufacturing excellence and equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, adjust, troubleshoot, and repair assigned production equipment to ensure seamless operations.
• Conduct and assist with preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Replenish supplies, materials, parts, and tooling for efficient production flow.
• Provide on-the-job training to team members.
• Perform Seamer Operator duties when maintenance tasks are complete.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while standing, stooping, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience and/or formal training.
• Strong communication skills in basic English (reading, writing, comprehension).
• Ability to interpret and follow complex verbal and written instructions.
• Flexibility to work assigned 12-hour night shifts and overtime as needed.
