Position Summary

Join Sonoco's Milwaukee, WI facility as a Production and Maintenance Technician on the night shift (6pm-6am, rotating 3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off schedule). Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you'll operate and maintain high-speed steel packaging manufacturing equipment. Enjoy competitive pay starting at $35.10/hour plus $1.00/hour shift differential, and a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, adjust, and repair production equipment to meet customer specifications.
  • Disassemble, overhaul, and rebuild machinery as needed.
  • Troubleshoot issues and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Inspect in-process materials and finished products for quality.
  • Replenish supplies, maintain hand tools, and handle housekeeping duties.
  • Access computer systems for data input/retrieval and communicate shift information.
  • Rotate through all workstations to ensure operational flexibility.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and follow directions precisely.
