Position Summary

Join Sonoco as a Production and Maintenance Technician in Milwaukee, WI, reporting to the Shift Supervisor. This night shift role (6pm–6am, rotating 3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off) involves operating and maintaining high-speed steel packaging manufacturing equipment. Earn $35.10/hour plus $1.00/hour shift differential and a $2,500 sign-on bonus in a fast-paced environment where your mechanical expertise keeps production running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, adjust, and repair production equipment to meet customer specifications.
  • Disassemble, overhaul, and rebuild manufacturing machinery.
  • Troubleshoot issues and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Inspect in-process materials and finished products for quality.
  • Replenish supplies, maintain hand tools, and handle housekeeping duties.
  • Access computer systems for data input/retrieval and communicate shift updates.
  • Rotate through all workstations as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and follow directions precisely.
