Position Summary
Join Sonoco's Wood Reels division as a Production Associate - 2nd Shift in Jefferson, TX. Reporting to the shift supervisor, you'll thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment on the 3p-11p shift (with some overtime). Earn $18.62/hr plus $1.00/hour shift differential while contributing to high-quality wood reel production. Ideal for mission-driven individuals with a 'get it done' attitude, excellent attendance, and hands-on skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with departments and teams across production.
- Think on your feet to troubleshoot issues and situations quickly.
- Make incremental process adjustments and monitor/report product quality.
- Learn to set up new jobs, train on other lines and departments.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area; use downtime for cleaning.
- Perform all duties supporting Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.
- Assist other departments as needed and follow supervisor directives.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year in manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Proven 'get it done' attitude with urgency to resolve tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, climb stairs.
- Work independently, manage multiple tasks in fast-paced setting.
- Working knowledge of products and quality standards.
- Reliable, initiative-driven, quality-focused team player.
- Ability to read/understand manufacturing instructions and perform repetitive duties with craftsmanship.
