Position Summary
Sonoco is hiring a Production Associate for the 3rd Shift at our Hillview, KY facility. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you'll ensure high-quality, efficient production and timely shipments. Pay starts at $18.34/hour plus $2.00 shift differential. Excellent attendance, teamwork, problem-solving, hands-on skills, organization, and attention to detail are essential in this fast-paced manufacturing role where safety is paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate spray polyurethane foam gun into corrugated boxes to meet customer standards.
- Perform trimming with knives/cutters and assist in assembly tasks.
- Assemble, pack, seal, label, and stack finished parts accurately.
- Inspect and remove finished products from lines, verifying quality specs.
- Sort, transfer, palletize containers, and load/unload trucks with powered equipment while maintaining paperwork.
Required Qualifications
- Physical ability to push/pull/lift 50 lbs frequently, 75 lbs with team lift occasionally.
- Frequent bending, standing, stooping, grasping, and manipulating small parts.
- Proven success in fast-paced environments with strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible to work overtime; excellent attendance record required.
