Position Summary

The Production Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager and oversees all aspects of production including safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost control, and employee development in a high-performance environment. This mid-level role demands strong leadership to implement best manufacturing practices, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives like 5S, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion employee safety with comprehensive programs and full compliance to OSHA, EPA regulations.
  • Lead hiring, training, mentoring, and motivation of diverse production teams.
  • Optimize schedules, workflows, and production to meet customer demands while minimizing costs and inventory.
  • Prepare budgets, propose capital improvements, and exceed performance metrics.
  • Foster quality assurance, employee relations, and continuous improvement events.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree required; Bachelor’s in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years manufacturing experience with proven safety leadership.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills for reports, SOPs, and presentations.
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, and composure under pressure.
  • Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts; CPR/AED certification.
