Position Summary

Join Sonoco as a Production Packer in Hanover, PA. This full-time role offers competitive pay starting at $18.72/hour with a $0.45 night shift differential for the 7:00pm-7:00am shift. Enjoy a rotating 12-hour schedule: 3 days on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off—working about 15 days a month with a three-day weekend every other weekend. Plus, double time pay on eligible Saturdays, quarterly performance bonuses, immediate benefits eligibility, and referral bonuses.

Key Responsibilities

• Make boxes with appropriate labels attached.
• Utilize hands, packing forks, and/or other methods to transfer product to appropriate package.
• Inspect products for conformance to specifications using gauges for dimensions.
• Notify operator or supervisor when quality problems are detected and discard non-conforming product.
• Seal containers and place on skid utilizing the box lifter.
• Perform duties in accordance with all safety rules and use safe work methods.
• Work independently, manage multiple tasks, and communicate effectively with team.

Required Qualifications

• Prefer 1-2 years manufacturing experience (not required).
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for 12-hour shifts with repetitive motions.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills; manual dexterity with both hands.
• Reliable, initiative-driven, committed, quality-focused with strong interpersonal skills.
