The Production Planning & Scheduling Coordinator role at PepsiCo in Lethbridge, Alberta, offers a dynamic weekend position (Friday to Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) supporting manufacturing operations at both Lethbridge and Taber sites. Reporting to the Site Planner, you'll manage production scheduling and raw material coordination, ensuring seamless workflows in a fast-paced snack food environment. In this critical role, you'll drive operational efficiency through precise planning and execution. Key duties include developing and maintaining production schedules aligned with manufacturing sequences and lead times, creating daily line schedules for weekends, and proactively adjusting for delays or demand shifts. You'll own raw material ordering on Fridays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, analyzing on-hand inventory against scheduled cases and forecasts to prevent supply disruptions. Additional responsibilities encompass validating inventory data, tracking incoming materials, generating weekly performance reports using Excel and Teams, and collaborating with Manufacturing, Product Supply, and external partners like Westrock. Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize planning and material flow.
Ensure schedules are executable, meet attainment metrics, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams. Verify cases against expectations and analyze variances for ongoing refinement.
Lead all aspects of ordering, expediting, and tracking to maintain fill-rate accuracy and mitigate risks, providing full visibility into material status.
Candidates should bring 1-3 years of experience in production scheduling, materials coordination, or similar roles, preferably in manufacturing. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A high level of organization, prioritization, and attention to detail is required to thrive in fast-paced conditions. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams is mandatory; experience with SAP or Oracle is a valuable asset.
