The Production Supervisor (2nd Shift) role at PepsiCo's Howell, Michigan facility is pivotal in directing frontline manufacturing teams to achieve superior performance in cost, line efficiencies, waste reduction, safety, and productivity. This position, operating Tuesday-Saturday from 2:30pm to 11:30pm, ensures alignment with production standards while fostering a high-performing team environment. Responsibilities extend to applying TPM knowledge for optimal equipment and system performance, setting safety, utilization, and quality standards, and tracking KPIs to preempt trends affecting financial targets. Overseeing facility reliability to reduce downtime, building employee capabilities via hiring, training, and communication, and ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations are paramount. You may occasionally operate manufacturing equipment and administer policies in this dynamic role.
To succeed, candidates need a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or a related field. Proven frontline supervisory skills, effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team-building abilities are essential. A minimum of 2 years in manufacturing or operations is preferred, along with Lean Six Sigma experience validated by a major improvement project. Strong planning, organization, feedback skills, and the ability to thrive in challenging environments are required. This role demands indefinite right to work in the US, a valid driver’s license, and a safe driving record. Off-shift and weekend work is mandatory for the 2nd shift schedule.
