The Production Supervisor (3rd Shift) position at PepsiCo's Howell, Michigan facility is a pivotal role in the manufacturing operations. Overseeing equipment reliability minimizes downtime, while building people capability through hiring, training, communication, and employee relations is essential. Compliance with all health and safety regulations, policy administration, and occasional operation of manufacturing equipment round out the role's demands.
Day-to-day, you'll set and achieve standards for safety, line utilization, and quality, ensuring the facility runs at peak efficiency.
Proactively correct trends that could compromise targets, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize operations.
To succeed in this Production Supervisor role, candidates need a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or a similar field. Proven front-line supervisory skills and the ability to lead team-based decision-making are essential. A minimum of 2 years of manufacturing or operations experience is preferred, along with Lean Six Sigma experience validated by a major improvement project. Strong coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team-building skills are required, as is the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
