Position Summary
Sonoco is hiring a Production Worker for the 2nd shift (3:30pm - 12:00am, Monday-Friday) at our Merced, CA facility. Earn $22.40/hour + $0.40 shift premium. Initial training on 1st shift for ~1 month before transitioning. Overtime and Saturdays may be required. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you'll operate production equipment safely, support manufacturing processes, and prioritize safety to meet plant goals and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Catch, bundle, and stack partitions efficiently.
- Catch strips and properly feed hoppers.
- Identify and separate defective partitions from quality products.
- Maintain an orderly, clean work area.
- Follow standard operating procedures and verbal instructions.
Required Qualifications
- Commitment to working safely and adhering to all safety regulations.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to follow verbal instructions accurately.
- Experience in manufacturing or production environments preferred.
