Position Summary

Join Sonoco's tube and core division as a Production Worker in Gastonia, NC. Reporting to the shift supervisor, you'll work second shift (3pm-11pm) at $18.04/hr, with must-have willingness to work overtime. Excel in a fast-paced environment with excellent attendance, a keen eye for defects, and hands-on analytical skills. Take pride in your organizational abilities and attention to detail while contributing to team success.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborating closely with other departments and teams
• Thinking on your feet to troubleshoot problems and situations
• Making incremental process adjustments, monitoring, and reporting quality of manufactured product
• Learning to set up new jobs, training on other lines and departments
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Performing all duties as designated by supervisor/manager
• Supporting Sonoco’s quality and safety policies
• Helping other departments as needed; using downtime for cleaning and straightening

Required Qualifications

• Sonoco mission-driven mindset
• At least 1 year in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
• “Get it done” attitude with urgency to resolve problems/tasks
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
• Previous Forklift Certification and safe operation experience
